Manh Cuong Vu

Der Diplom-Volkswirt und Diplôme-Statisticien Economiste Manh Cuong VU ist seit April 2011 bei EcoAid tätig. Ihn interessiert die Frage: „Wie lässt sich ökologische Nachhaltigkeit wirtschaftlich und sozialverträglich realisieren?“

Manh Cuong VU studierte Volkswirtschaftslehre in Berlin, Paris und Hanoi.  Als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter mit Lehrerfahrungen arbeitete er 2007-2011 am Lehrstuhl „Internationale Wirtschaftsbeziehungen“ der Universität Hamburg sowie im Hamburgischen WeltWirtschaftsInstitut (HWWI).

Neben der Themen zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung sind die Interessen des Diplom-Volkswirts vielseitig. Seit einigen Jahren beschäftigt er sich mit dem Thema Migration in aller Welt und Integration in Deutschland und Europa. Seit 2010 engagiert er sich ehrenamtlich als Festivalgründer und -leiter des ersten unabhängigen Online-Kurzfilmfests YxineFF (www.yxineff.com) und wurde mit dem International Young Screen Entrepreneur Award des British Council Vietnam im Oktober 2010 ausgezeichnet. Außerdem verfügt er über professionelle Erfahrungen im journalistischen Bereich und Online-Medien.

2002-2004: Studium der Statistik-Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE) in Paris. Abschluss: Diplôme-Statisticien Economiste.

1997-1998: Studium der Volkswirtschaftslehre an der National Economic University in Hanoi.

In April 2011 Manh Cuong VU joined EcoAid as economist consultant. He is interested in finding out the response for the question „How can ecological sustainability be realised in an economically and socially acceptable way?“

Manh Cuong VU studied economics in Berlin, Paris and Hanoi. From 2007 to 2011 he worked as a researcher with teaching experience at the Chair „International Economic Relations“ of the University of Hamburg and at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI).

Additionally to the topics of Sustainable Development, his current interests are multifacetted. The human migration in the world and the integration in Germany and Europe have been his research topic for years. In 2010 he founded and leaded voluntarily the first independent online short film festival YxineFF (www.yxineff.com) in Vietnam. His commitment was renowned with the International Young Screen Entrepreneur Award by British Council Vietnam in October 2010. Furthermore, he has professional experience in journalism and online media.
